Love Joke for Kids

Valentine’s Day can’t come soon enough! When it seems like love is the last thing on everyone’s mind (and lips), this sweet little holiday arrives just in time to remind us of what’s truly important—love for ourselves, love for our families, love for each other.

There are so many simple ways to show your love this month, but our favorites require spending time together. Many studies have shown a correlation between quality parent time—time spent reading aloud or sharing a meal, for example—and positive outcomes for children.

Our early literacy activity calendar for February features fun and easy ideas to help you build your child’s literacy skills and also create opportunities for bonding time. Make valentines together and send them in the mail to someone you love. Invite friends over for story time. Tell silly jokes to make your little one smile. The possibilities are endless, and take very little time.

We hope you’ll find this a useful resource for a “lovely” month. And be sure to check back next month for our March calendar!
