We feel like proud parents! Our book Peek-a-Flap: Who was selected by Creative Child Magazine as the 2017 Book of the Year. We knew this book was special, with its beautiful illustrations by Ariel Silverstein, and a pair of lift-a-flaps with peek-a-boo surprises in each scene. The fun facts about the animals in the artwork are interesting for both little ones and their grown-ups.

Did you know that owls don’t build nests, but sometimes lay eggs in the nests they find? Or that half of the world’s rabbits live in North America? If you read this award-winning book, you’ll discover these facts and more!

According to Creative Child’s website, its awards program “is unique in that all products submitted are reviewed by moms, music educators, and early education professionals. Products are reviewed by many people—the very people who would purchase them.” For more details on how Creative Child determines the winner, click here.

There are currently three books in the Peek-a-Flap series: Who, Moo, and Zoo. And a special Halloween adventure is on the way! Look for Peek-a-Flap: Boo to hit shelves this September.

Every day, we work hard to bring innovative formats and engaging educational content to the littlest readers. This award, and all the positive reviews we’ve received, make us feel like we might be on the right track!
